Daffodil Graph

Photographing flowers seems to be the thing to do at the moment. And why not, considering how colourful they are. I had the idea of using the ground behind the beds, which slopes away quite steeply, so I could frame my shots at eye level without stooping down to the ground.

Doing so enabled me to capture flowers with the colours of their neighbours behind rather than sky or earth. Perhaps they are slightly past their peak, but not too bad considering the battering they had in the wind.

In this image, the daffodil flower heads form a line, as if on a graph, sloping down then sharply up, which amused me, and I wondered what it could represent. Given that it's in the shape of a smile, I decided on happiness.
