VE Day

We decided to go for it today. I baked a Victoria sponge this morning. We set the table 1945 style , G lit the BBQ and at 3 pm pipers all through the village piped in memory of the sacrifices people made. It was a lovely day.
After yesterday’s news, my sister had a MRI scan and will have surgery on Wednesday. One good thing to come out of Covid 19, no 12 week wait. She is very positive about the outcome. It’s very hard not being able to be with her.
