Hens.

Admin and reading this morning, younger son on jigsaw. And a bit of chat after some millionaire’s shortbread was dropped off. Nice with a cuppa.

The First Minister continued to press previous Stay at Home etc obligations today at her press conference, accompanied by Chief Constable of Police Scotland. Some relaxations are being mooted elsewhere in UK. It’s interesting reflecting on the journey ahead - I watched the Australian PM set out his vision for first and next steps this morning; some visitors at home, very small known outdoor groups, libraries and playgrounds reopening, some local travel etc. And they’re sitting at no new cases for days now, international Borders remain closed, and will do for months.

On our walk today we passed the wee smallholding. The hens were busy and quite active this afternoon; the hanging carrots were proving popular - the black hen jumping and flapping wasn’t the only one interested in them. “We’re going to have couple of bee hives soon, they’ll be down by the pigs” the lady said. I thought I hope the bees won’t mind the smell, and the pigs the buzzzzing. We came away with some fresh eggs, she said “pay next time;” none of the three of us had any money with us as usual, because we tend to shop once a week and stay local.

It was quiet out, not many people outdoors or in gardens or walking. Social distancing good, folks courteous.

Short Family FaceTime. All well.
