My little sister!

On the back of this black and white photo is written: VE.Day 1945
She was just under one year old, so I guess she was a bit puzzled by all the fuss. What I remember was the return of my favourite aunt who had been in France - and she brought me a big baby doll, which I called Simone after her best French friend. Sadly Simone has disappeared somewhere in the many places we have lived since 1945!
