Work with a view

Niall took me to see their new office this morning. Don't know how much work they are going to do when this is the view you get whenever you look out the window.  Tomorrow will be Niall's week in the office. Think he is going to enjoy it

Corona Virus Update
205 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered in Bahrain today.
Of today’s cases, 138 are among migrant workers and 67 are local contacts.

BAHRAINIS and residents have been warned amid an increased risk of coronavirus infections through contact, as stores reopened last night.  

The ministry reminds citizens and residents to adhere to health recommendations that encourage all to stay at home when possible, practise social distancing, and to wear a mask in public settings



Saudi Arabia has formed a police unit to monitor violations of its coronavirus lockdown rules.  Has banned gatherings of more than five people, also gatherings of more than one family were prohibited.

Fines of up to 100,000 riyals will be handed down to groups larger than one family gathering in public and private spaces, including homes, construction sites and shops. The same rule applies for parties, weddings and funerals.  New recorded infections in Saudi Arabia is hovering at around 1,600 per day. The kingdom has recorded 33,731 cases and 219 deaths since the start of the outbreak.


The Bank of England said Britain could be headed for its biggest economic slump in over 300 years due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Britain’s economy might be on course to shrink by 25 per cent in the three months to June and unemployment could more than double to 9pc of the workforce.

In the US, the latest numbers lifted to about 33.5 million the number of people who have filed claims for unemployment benefits since March 21, equivalent to roughly one out of every five workers losing their job in just over a month.  A report also showed the number of people receiving benefits after an initial week of aid surged 4.636 million to a record 22.647 million in the week ended April 25.
