The shot tower in Crane Park

Day 53 - today I cycled through Crane Park and then to the six churches in Whitton. The Shot Tower is in Crane Park , there were gunpowder mills here from 1766-1926, it was restore a few years ago. As it was VE Day on Friday there was a display showing through the doors of St Edmund of Canterbury (R.C) which gave information about where bombs had been dropped in Whitton. Also I did not know that the church had been bombed so the present church was built after WW2. See extra.

- made a different type of mask as a pro type and cut out fabric for more
- went to the allotment and did some weeding, very chilly there
- 10C colder today so lots of seedlings needed to come indoors overnight.
