Not so Tiny Redback

This is a female redback spider, about 10mm not counting the legs.
I've rarely seen them here but we had lots out west where I grew up. However I don't remember seeing any this big.

They are poisonous and have caused occasional fatalities but not something we worry too much about. In the days of outdoor dunnies they had a reputation for inflicting bites in inconvenient places.

Handy find on Tiny Tuesday. Thanks Wendy (wrperry).
