Only slightly bigger than a thumbnail, these flowers do not call you in for a closer look.  But it is well worth it; just love the pattern and the symmetry.  I didn't notice the specks of dirt though.
Landscaping started; lots of stones and little earth;  looks like being a longer term project than I envisaged but then it always is.
