Broomrape, Orobanche (Thanks Mollyblobs)

This one is a very fresh specimen, usually you see very tatty examples of these. So the more rare Ophrys fuciflora, late spider-orchid, which grows in certain "secret" sites in our village, is in extras as I have blipped these every year. All wild orchids are such incredible structures and have such a short life span, ideal wet weather subjects.
