The endless war

"I have always looked upon decay as being just as wonderful and rich an expression of life as growth."
Henry Miller

Another image of decaying human artefacts and Nature invading and reclaiming. This time it's the back gate of my garden. The incinerator, a weapon in the struggle to maintain order and keep back the tide of rubbish and weed, is itself now rusting and falling victim to inevitable decay. Nature's tendrils are pushing themselves under the gate and across the concrete and gravel. Weeds seeding themselves even in this hard artificial skin.

My first attempt at this was photo bombed by Jake , not wearing the usual "hello mum!" inane grin of the average photo bomber but far more subtly introducing an element of dystopia with his inner city hoody impression.
