Snapshots of my world

Pink Flutter!

Today was the last day of what has become my lockdown routine of going to school to look after the key worker and vulnerable children. It's been a challenge to keep them going with fun activities for so many weeks but lovely to have more time to be creative with the children and actually talk to them. Both are things pushed out all too much with targets etc. Next week they'll still be in school but some of the teaching assistants will be taking over. It frees us up to begin trying to create some sort of learning spaces for June 1st when Nursery, Reception, Class 1 (my year group) and Class 6 will return...all data agreeing and so on.

It's going to require all classrooms being used to ensure there's no more than 15 children together so I'm not sure where the 40 key worker/vulnerable children will go...or what will happen should another year group return at a later date. I'm not even thinking about how to manage pencils, whiteboard pens and so on...plus sitting on the carpet and circle times are surely ancient history!! Anyway...guess it's a case of suck it and see, although obviously very much not literally in these times!!!

Highlight of the day was definitely meeting up with Holly, and Ezra, for a socially distanced walk. It's fair to say I'm not exactly inundated with friends but Holly continues to stand the test of time. We could've chatted for far longer but we ran out of roads to walk!
