Parakeet

We see a lot of these birds flying around the trees outside our apartment.  Apparently they derive from a colony of Rose Ringed Parakeets - which are native to tropical Africa - said to have originally been set free as pets by Dutch owners in the 1960's.  It's thought there are now over 10,000 of them flying within the Netherlands.  

They are well camouflaged in the trees but I spotted this one from the front window, so ran for the camera and captured it before it flew off.
