Carriageworks

The multi-arts precinct on the site of the former Railway Carriage Workshops might not be here for much longer. It’s recently gone into voluntary administration. Like the former locomotive workshops on the other side of the tracks, it has huge cavernous spaces. The one pictured was a farmers’ market until a couple of months ago. Today, people were practising martial arts. The extra is outside the performance and gallery area.
