Aoraki, Mount Cook

Today we awoke to bright blue clear sky, golden opertunity to go to Mount Cook. We strolled well walked at a steady pace as we didn't start heading up the Hooker Valley until 17:30. 1:50 minutes we arrived at the end of the track at the Blue Lake which is more White than blue but most spectacular, the white water is being caused by the ice on the Glacier melting, icebergs were floating in the lake, plus all the extra rain fall we had a few weeks ago. This image is looking back up the Hooker Valley at Aoraki, Mount Cook at 3,754m this is New Zealands highest Mountain and she has had a few climbers over the years who have perished on this mountain. On the left is Mount Sefton 3,151m high
