West Silvertown on the Docklands Light Railway

Went to the BETT Show for the first time in three years today. BETT is the educational technology show which for years was held at Olympia. This year, for the first time it was held at Excel - hence using the DLR.

BETT is the trade show for us ICT educationalists, even retired ones, but it remains true to form even in its new venue. An impressive collection of hardware, software and other services all competing for your business, but still lacking the key ingredient; serious attention to the actual use and impact of all these gizmos and gadgets. Often demonstrated by sales(men and women) who have passing experience of teaching - or imported deputy heads and class teachers telling their case study.

Lots of opportunities today - had a good shot of the new, shiny, reflective Tesco superstore in Woolwich, which you'll not see. Quite amazing how the building has been thown up - only 18 months ago I was attending meetings in the building it has replaced.
