Sunday Outing - Nankeen Night Heron

We ventured a little further afield today much to Toto's delight!  To the lake near the city where we havent been for months! There was only one couple there with a small baby and so we joyfully walked all the way around the lake and it was so good to be out!! :o)

This lovely Nankeen Night heron was posing nicely for me and although he looks like he only has one leg have a look in extras and you’ll see he definitely has two. :o) Even though he’s called a night heron they often feed during the day.   Also in extras is a little bit of the ginkgo tree which is wearing its autumn colours, simply gorgeous In the afternoon light!!
