49 Days Later.

Canary Wharf Station in London usually attracts over 40 million travellers a year, up to 70,000 a day, making it the 2nd busiest station outside central London (after Stratford).

Opened in 1999, this impressive Norman Foster designed 'cathedral of concrete' was constructed in a drained arm of the former dock, using a simple "cut and cover" method to excavate an enormous pit 24 metres (78 ft) deep and 265 metres (869 ft) long. Above ground there is little sign of the vast interior: two curved glass canopies at the east and west ends of the station cover the entrances and allow daylight to stream into the ticket hall below.

The station was used as a location for some scenes of Danny Boyle's 2002 post-apocalyptic horror film '28 Days Later', hence my title. Today is the 49th day of the official lockdown.
