Binn Tower

The sky did brighten for about an hour earlier! It's hose pipe horizontal soaking rain with a howling hoolie!!
This is the Binns Tower built in 19thc apparently as a wager, between the neighbouring families of Dalyell & Hope.
Tam Dalyell MP until the 1990s & his wife live in part of the house. The house is maintained by the National Trust for Scotland.
House has been owned by Dalyell family since 1500s I believe, they were all great characters apparently!
As I type this the sun is shining! Not for long I fear!

Off into Edinburgh to a talk about "the Briggers " the valiant men who built my favourite bridge!!
