Mary's choice

I took a few pics of flowers in the garden today and in honour of mother's day, Mary chose this magnolia as her favourite.
Today is significant in two other ways:
It is the first birthday of Áthas, Charity and Harisen's daughter who was born on Easter Saturday last year,
And it is World Water Day

Each year more than 1 billion of our fellow human beings have little choice but to resort to using potentially harmful sources of water. This perpetuates a silent humanitarian crisis that kills over 4000 children every day.
The root of this underlying catastrophe lies in these plain, grim facts: 2 in 10 people in the world have no source of safe drinking-water.
Many women and young girls in rural areas in Sub-Saharan Africa and other parts of the world must trek as much as six miles everyday to retrieve water for their families. As a result, such women and children are prevented from pursuing an education, maintaining their households or earning additional income.
Clean water in Northern Malawi is the main focus of our charity
