Irises

There is a lovely display of irises along the edge of the village bowling green. It's just a shame the members of the bowling club aren't getting the chance to enjoy them.

Apparently the blue iris "can represent faith, hope, courage, wisdom and admiration" - all qualities we've seen in abundance since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic - so their blooming at this time is very apt.

(The landscape aspect of this blip is a bit weird, but it was more effective than the portrait alternative.)
