Kermit

We had a lot of toad spawn in our pond a couple of weeks ago which has now turned into tadpoles and we recently found a large brown female toad blocking the water feed pipe to the pond thus creating her own personal jacuzzi. However I think this is a young frog rather than a toad as it was hopping rather than walking.  It is probably one of last years as it was no more than 2 inches long.  We have not seen any frog spawn in our pond but our neighbour has reported plenty in his.
