In My Backyard

Jack visited us today and we went on a big excursion.  
This remote corner of the property is for RockArea's Wide Wednesday challenge of "in my backyard".
Jack is over 80 and grew up in the valley so could tell us lots of history as we checked out old roads and fire trails,  He is a fascinating character. He started work at 16 trapping rabbits and then logging timber. Much of his life involved work with the Rural Fire Service where he became Blue Mountains Fire Chief. He also worked in the Rescue Squad and told us some stories of how they did things back then. Quite differently!
Now we are going to Wally's for dinner. First social event for some time.
