All part of the story

Look away if you don't like snakes

A brighter day, and dry.

Went to check the sheep at Crackaig and walked back above the cliffs, over the top and along the long hill, as TC called it.  It was blustery and warm, with Skylarks and Wheatears over head and tiny specks of blue Milkwort and yellow Tormentil at our feet. Heath spotted orchids and lots of Butterwort in the boggier areas.

On our way home S spotted this Adder at Achnacoile. Nyje nearly stepped on it but it didn't move. (thank goodness - I am not a big fan of snakes)

Message from White Eagle, a Hopi Indian from the North American tribe, March 16, 2020
"This moment that humanity is going through can now be seen as a portal and a hole.
The decision to fall into the hole or go through the portal is up to you.
If you regret the problem and consume the news 24 hours a day, with little energy, nervous all the time, with pessimism, you will fall into the hole. But if you take this opportunity to look at yourself, rethink life and death, take care of yourself and others, you will cross the portal.
Take care of your homes, take care of your body. Connect with your spiritual home.
When you are taking care of yourself, you are taking care of everything else. Don't lose the spiritual dimension of this crisis; have the look of the eagle, which from above, sees the whole; sees more broadly.
There is a social demand in this crisis, but there is also a spiritual demand. The two go hand in hand. Without the social dimension, we fall into fanaticism. But without the spiritual dimension, we fall into pessimism and meaninglessness.
They were prepared to go through this crisis. Take your toolbox and use all the tools you have at your disposal.
Learn about resistance with indigenous and African peoples: we have always been and continue to be exterminated. But we have not stopped singing, dancing, lighting a fire and having fun. Don't feel guilty for being happy during this difficult time.
It does not help at all to be sad and without energy. It helps if good things come out of the Universe now. It is through joy that one resists. Also, when the storm passes, each of you will be very important in rebuilding this new world.
You need to be well and strong. And, for that, there is no other way than to maintain a beautiful, joyful and luminous vibration. This has nothing to do with alienation.
This is a strategy of resistance. In shamanism, there is a rite of passage called the quest for vision. They spend a few days alone in the forest, without water, without food, without protection. When they pass through this portal, they get a new vision of the world, because they've faced their fears, their difficulties...
This is what is asked of them:
Allow yourself to use this time to carry out your vision quest rituals. What world do you want to build for yourself? For now, this is what you can do: serenity in the storm. Calm down, pray every day. Establish a routine for meeting the sacred every day.
Good things come out; what comes out of you now is the most important. And sing, dance, resist through art, joy, faith and love. Resist
