Bee Flies

Spotted these two this morning at the DogPark. They were much too 'beesy' to give me any notice! Their Scientific name is Poecilanthrax arethusa, and they are a fly species from the family of wool gliders (Bombyliidae). They are found in Central and North America. When I spotted them, I thought...wait just a moment! I've never seen Bees do that! And I was correct...not 'bees' at all! Appropriate for 'Hump Day' I suppose. ;) *extra...A Mabel orchard orb weaver spider, a species of Long-jawed orb weavers. Found in the U.S. south to Brazil. This beauty was patiently waiting in her web, just off our back patio.
Bee Well My Friends! :)
BTW..C just informed me that today is 'World Bee Day'! :)
