Ramadan canon at Riffa fort

Met up with the gals this afternoon to capture the firing of the canon.  We don't often visit this fort so it was a great camera opportunity and of course were all wearing our masks.

Corona virus Update
Bahrain registers 356 new virus cases; 604 recover. 
Of the new cases, 237 were migrant workers, 115 were local contacts and four were travel related.
More than 200 people in the Capital Governorate were fined for not wearing face masks while in public.

Bahrain will not enforce an economic lockdown during next week’s Eid Al Fitr holiday, revealed a senior government official.  “We are very confident the society will not abuse (this decision) because their health is at stake, and we have seen excellent response from the society in terms of discipline and adherence.”

Global coronavirus cases surpass 5 million,
Latin America accounted for around a third of the 91,000 cases reported earlier this week. Europe and the United States each accounted for just over 20%.

The first 41 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Wuhan, China, on Jan. 10 and it took the world until April 1 to reach its first million cases. Since then, about 1 million new cases are reported every two weeks
