The TSB Branch in Dumbarton is one of 17 outlets that will close on 29 July. From the engraving above the new sign, you can see the original occupants - 'The Savings Bank of Glasgow".

It's a building I'm familiar with. I opened my first current account there, obtained approval for a mortgage and rejected for one too!

I'm increasingly realising that the modern world is just not a place that I like.

Face-to-face transactions with human contact is the best way to work. All this virtual nonsense is so mechanical and impersonal.

Humans are social creatures and this ongoing madness will be doing more harm than folk realise.
