Peaceful moments...

Sunset on Lake Erie and the phone call from my son in Michigan. Water receded enough that he was able to get to his apartment. Amazingly he has no water, not even in the parking lot. 

I read a Detroit news article that says 21.5 trillion gallons of water emptied out of Wixom Lake into the communities below the dam breach. The lake below the dam also emptied but the amount of water wasn't mentioned. It is an unbelievable number. Many of our friends have lost everything and many others will spend months recovering. So many without homes including many elderly whose assisted living homes were damaged. 
President Trump is supposedly visiting the area and bringing in the Army Corp of engineers to help rebuild bridges and both dams. We will see...
