Sign of summer

Day polishing brass and out in front garden cutting up the shrubbery I cut back the other week: snipping it into small pieces to fill up the garden recycling bin which was emptied this week.

The weather was wild and showery. When the clouds came over it was pretty cool.

Last night I cut some of these more traditional peonies to save them from the weather and was able to take them outside tonight in the evening sun. I’m looking forward to the white scented ones which are budding up nicely and should be flowering next week.
