Fife Star Trails

Ventured over the water to the Kingdom of Fife to meet up with Clamb to take advantage of the clear skies. We attempted to set up the cameras at our first choice location, but soon realised that, due to our exposed position, the high winds were not going to allow our tripods to remain standing for very long.

Ok, off to location number two down by the water in Burntisland. As this was lower down, it was far more sheltered from the wind. We couldn't get the same vast field of stars in shot, but at least the cameras would be safe. So, we got everything set up and let the cameras work their magic.

We only managed to capture about 40 minutes worth of shots, before the big man decides to call it a night because he was too cold. Blouse.

Well, this was the result of the night's work. Not as good as I was hoping for, but not bad. As always, it includes the obligatory aircraft spoiling the shot!

EDIT: Clamb (AKA the Blouse) gave me a tip for removing the unwanted aircraft trails, so I decided to give it a go. Cheers bud!
