The Roman Road

This is called The Roman Road and it runs along the estuary. In fact it is neither Roman nor a road. It is a path carved out of the local mudstone, a remarkable feat that even the Romans, accomplished civil engineers, would have found a difficult task without the help of explosives. And why would they have gone to the trouble? It ends up on a ‘secret beach’ about 400 yards away.

The aeroplane overhead was a FedEx plane going from Memphis to Cologne. I wonder what cargo they had on board.
