Summery hike at Siikaneva marsh preserve

We had wonderful day at sunny Siikaneva marsh preserve! Siikaneva lies in between Orivesi and Ruovesi, 1 hours drive from Pirkkala. We walked to the camp fire place and back. The trail is for the largest part covered with duckboards. The large marshes spread out all the way around the trail until the open areas lead into the atmospheric old forests, which are like islands in the marsh.

It was very warm, like it was summer! We heard a Cuckoo and saw three Cranes.

I don't remember previous time when I walked distance this long and took steps as many as today, it must have been before chemotherapy. I'm very happy that I made it, definitely the maximum distance for me at present.
