Full-Bodied Red

Amid the mayhem and madness of life at the moment, today is our wedding anniversary. As no restaurants are open we dined in with not too bad a meal, dinner service and cut glass, accompanied by a bottle of very good red we bought in France some years ago.

After our meal we sat in front of the fire and watched a dvd of La Boheme from the Royal Opera House. Next Wednesday we would have been at a real performance - my daughters had very generously given me tickets for my recent BIG birthday. This is, of course, now cancelled so we have pretended we have been there this evening.

Ticket money has been refunded and we will book a performance of something memorable just as soon as we can. Life will go on!
