One Up One Last Time

Tonight Aberdeen's sole remaining independent record store closed its doors.

A sad time for the city's music lovers and so much more so for the owners and staff who have worked there over the last 34 years.

Not thinking I would make it in today I was surprised it was still open as my friends and I walked home tonight. I went in and made one last purchase.

The doors were locked by the time we left and as Fred Craig held the door open for us he said to me "You are probably One Up's last customer." A wee tear welled up in my eye.

RIP One UP.
