After the rain ...

On the south shore of Loch Eck, these black trees were stark against a suddenly-appearing spread of blue sky at the end of a wet afternoon of gales and hailstones that nipped our faces as we walked. The setting sun lit the far side of the loch and for a brief spell the walk we had embarked on seemed less crazy than before.
