Crinkles

Another nice day. We were able to have breakfast in the garden, which is nice. I then did the washing up and put the final keyboard back together now that it was all dry - I even found most of the screws, impressive considering it's more than two years ago that I took it apart and a different country. After test It put in the spare pile.

By then breakfast has settled we we went for a bike ride. The town has closed off several lanes to traffic making them dedicated bus and cycle routes. All the work hasn't been completed yet, but what they have done is great in town. They have also closed one lane of the ring road to do the same, which is useful for the ride we did today, but generally I'm not sure it's as useful as the in town modifications. I can see petrolheads blowing a gasket with these changes, but to be honest the town is a lot nicer with fewer cars in it, and as the town makes most of it's money because it's pretty, I can't see how cars help...!

The bike ride was nice, though the traffic levels were noticeably higher than last week, and there was a lot of motorbikers out and about too. Other than one idiot, most people were well behaved so it wasn't a problem. Sadly there have been some fatalities locally, with people going far too fast of roads with fewer cars on them...

The sea was very pretty and Cancale is still there, and now the agricultural pollution has tailed off and the car pollution hasn't returned to full strength, we could actually see out to sea too!

On our return, we had a sit down and a milkshake, and then I took a few pictures. I think this poppy is best of the batch. I then had a rest in the sun, and heard a very distinctive bird noise. A great tit had flown into the house and was now stuck in the living room as it couldn't get back out. We opened the largest windows wide open, and then using a broom we gently encouraged it to fly out, and we did quite well. No bird strikes on the other windows or lime on the furniture.
