Big Feet with flowers

Podares they are called here, those Prickly Pear Cactus plants that grow more or less everywhere here on Crete; in the fields and the villages & towns. 
Its' Latin name is: Opuntia ficus-indica and its common name seems to be: Barbary fig.


I like the greek name for this cactus "Podares" what translates as "Big Feet"
