Dead Head Fly

Hoverfly. Myathropa florea. Its said that the markings on the back of the thorax can resemble a skull. Other people claim the black mark can look like the"Batman" logo.


This one was seen at my local fishing lakes. I popped over to the lakes today to see how things are there. Our fishing season starts on June 16th.
