Lockdown Day 62 - Line Astern

We waited until the afternoon for our walk, by which time the sun had appeared and winds eased from the buffeting everything had received over the last 48 hours.  It almost looks like autumn out there, with a carpet of leaves on the ground, albeit still green, from all of the damage caused.

We took to the canal for the start of the walk and the youngest swan family was out enjoying the water.  Yesterday the pen was on the nest and the cygnets were safely protected under her wings, the cob nearby on the water with his head carefully tucked between his wings to lessen the impact of the wind.

The young cygnets were quite curious of us and came up to the edge of the towpath (having some feed with us helped!).  While L fed I was getting low to capture some more images.

Then we headed across the fields before popping passed our friends from before we were married. It ended up with a socially distanced couple of hours of chatting, something that we all agreed was desperately needed after the last 9 weeks.  We even got to meet their new new kitten (see extra), who was as adorable as these young cygnets.

Day Miles: 5.5 miles Total miles: 671.1  miles
