hitching a ride

Another start of a new week. Work, work and afterwards bike ride to Blackford Pond to check out the beasties. No rats this time but quite a number of craneflies. This particular one is infected by parasitic mites. It looks rather hapless (and the mites look rather fat). Oh, and the swans have cygnets (see extra).
