Nikon D600 package for sale

The TVSN shopping channel caught my attention tonight because they were doing a feature on the Nikon D600 (for 1 hour!!). It's actually quite amazing how much information the presenters provide in the hope for you to purchase the items. For me, it was interesting because I do hope to upgrade my current Nikon one day (I currently have the D5000 which is entry level). However for now I'm still learning but I'll get to that expert level in the future!!
And I'm not sure about that $3299 Australian price (although that's the D600 plus lens package) either. Is it cheap or expensive?
What Nikon should I upgrade to if I want to get more serious in the future? Any advice would be great!
