Growing!

We bought this gooseberry 2 years ago, we thought that it might fruit last summer - it didn't!!! We were very disappointed, and we told it very clearly - and frequently - if it didn't get it's act together, it was for the chop! I am very pleased to report that this year we should have a great crop of gooseberries :-)
My friend A., who lives in Surrey, reports that her pear tree had a similar talking to, and this year is covered in pears.
At the moment the gooseberry bush has lots of tiny berries growing and I am looking forward to a great crop - gooseberry fool, gooseberry cobbler - and my favourite, gooseberries fresh from the bush, still warm from the sun :-)
