This evening after work it was home to get changed and then out for a walk in search of a blip. Still nice and fine and dry  but not quite as warm as the last couple of days so I didn't wear shorts. I decided to walk along the river bank to search out a blip. A lovely stroll was rewarded with this beetle as we was heading back. I took a few shots this one is the clearest / sharpest despite only been able to see 1 antenna . I have identified it as a soldier beetle a Cantharis rustica identified by the black heart shape .
Back home for a spot of tea and a relaxing evening of Netflix and general TV.
