Checkpoint Charlie

It's hard enough minding the kids when you're separated without having an over zealous member of the gardai manning a check point where he takes his time interviewing every passing motorist as to their 'reason for being out'.
After 20 minutes of queueing I got to meet this lovely keeper of the peace.
He cared not a jot about the delay he was causing and the knock on effect he was having on people's lives.
He enjoyed taking his time until he was thoroughly satisfied that I was on the way to collect my kids from the ex.
He cared not a jot that the delay might incense the aforementioned ex, after all he was a mighty job doing it by the book, following orders.
What a feckin Charlie
