Padddington Bear and Marmalade Sandwich

I spotted this carved wooden Paddington Bear peeping over a high wall when we were out today.  We had a lovely walk along the Derwent Walk, a former railway which used to carry iron ore and passengers between Consett and the River Tyne.  The railway closed in 1963.

I have enclosed an extra of the walk.  Today has been very warm but the trees gave excellent shade.  Two deers crossed the path in front of us and we also saw a red kite on the way back to the car.
