History

Very hard to read I know, but it's part of my on-going research into the contents of Old Government House.  The main label reads: Mary Queen of Scots mourning over dying Douglas.  

The picture was stitched by Matilda Solomon and it won first prize for "wool work" at the 1881 Exhibition in Adelaide.
