My Mini Adventure

Countryside walk

Set off early again today for another walk... again somewhere we haven’t been for all of lockdown so far.

We parked at Lullingstone Park Visitors Centre and walked along the river (lots of damsel flies around) towards the castle. We were shocked to see a high police presence at the castle and wondered what was going on. Later today we found out that a man in his 60s was murdered there yesterday - possibly by a group of “youths” throwing rocks. Horrible.

As we couldn’t go past the castle towards Eynsford, we turned left and headed up across the fields and around the golf course (not opening again until Monday). L enjoyed playing in a few of the bunkers and doing forward rolls on one or two of the beautifully groomed greens... oops, sorry to any golfers out there!!

After heading through a large field of big daisies we headed back to the car. It was at this point that we were glad to have been there early today... it was heaving! We were very happy to head home for some lunch.
