Star of Bethlehem

We took celebrated the slight liberation from strict lockdown by driving the permitted 5 miles to Peathill for an evening walk. We were rewarded by larksong and finding this Star of Bethlehem growing the uncut roadside verge. The extra is a huge drift of poached egg plant which has completely colonised a stretch of verge. In the absence of council mowers there are immense improvements to the habitat for all manner of wildlife.
