Life through the lens...

By ValC

Silly Saturday.

Didn’t expect to see him on our walk today.
A new edition to the garden with the tiny gnomes fairy dell I blipped for Tiny Tuesday.
I think this garden is going to provide some more Blip material in the future.

It has been wonderful watching the birds today.
So much activity.
Green finches, gold finches, sparrows.
A coal tit busy on the fat balls collecting food for young ones which are fluttering about.
A Blackbird busy building a nest in the corner by the swing seat.
The robin also still feeding a young one.
Collard doves, and the wood pigeons eating the seeds which fall onto the floor.
I only put two fat balls out this morning, thinking the starlings wouldn’t notice them
They didn’t at first, but then all of a sudden boards swooped down and within minutes the balls were all eaten.

The cotoneaster is flowering now and covered in bees. Keep trying to get a photo, but not any luck yet.

Off out into the garden now to enjoy another hot sunny day, but with a nice cool breeze.
I will be sat in the shade while our neighbours are out in bikinis, laying on their sun loungers in the hot sunshine, and S. laid out in his swimming shorts looking like a beached whale!
Hope they have put plenty of sun cream on.

Our wine delivery turned up this morning.
So well stocked for the next BBQ.

Our next door neighbour managed to get us some Magnums yesterday, so looking forward to having one this afternoon.
Aren’t we lucky!
