The Patriots Arms.

An interesting picture- it’s really not a great viewpoint of the pub ( either the old picture or the new one!!).

However, it does show that the road was really not much more than a track and that on the right hand side, the buildings were shops. ( Mrs Knight’s sweet shop, 1880). Only one building left and it’s now a house.

The pub was renamed a couple of years ago ( much to the annoyance of the villagers, but gas recently been sold and the new owners are keen to revert to the original name. ).
