A bridge too far .....

A bridge too far, in more ways than one! Firstly B and I wanted to link up to a point where we had walked on the canal before so we could continue on our exploration of the canal. We exceeded in our expectations though when we walked all the way to the point where we had set off from on a different day’s walk.
..... then we decided to have a sit down on a little bridge that was across a small river running by the canal. We dangled our legs over the edge and ate a tube of smarties each. The dogs contentedly lay on the cool surface of the bridge .... next thing we know and Pierce has rolled over and fallen from the bridge into the river. A massive splash and Pierce luckily discovered he can swim. Phew.
Anyway we had a lovely walk and the dogs seem tired but fine now.
